The 2016 edition of the ICC T20 World Cup is just a few weeks away and considering that India is the host nation, the stakes over here are certainly high. With our neighboring country Sri Lanka set to fight hard to defend their title, the period from 8th March to 3rd April is going to witness some quality cricket action. A new lottery system -process has been introduced for purchasing tickets match tickets for 4 Indian matches, the semis and the finals to make it a fair opportunity for cricket fans to get their hands on the tickets. The final will be played in Eden Gardens in Kolkata, with the two semifinals set to be played in Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi. These cities will be accompanied by Nagpur and Dharamshala too, which will be hosting the group stage matches. Considering that ICC is pricing the T20 World Cup 2016 tickets, they will be available for considerably cheaper rates.Five teams have been split into two groups 1 and 2, with eight teams already known. The other two teams will be decided in qualifying stage, with many countries such as Bangladesh, Ireland and Zimbabwe playing in it.

The teams playing in the first round are:
Group A: Zimbabwe, Hong Kong, Scotland, Afghanistan
Group B: Ireland, Netherlands, Oman, Bangladesh
In the second round, the current groups are as follows. Two teams from the first round namely Bangladesh & Afghanistan join second round.
Group 1: West Indies, Sri Lanka, England, South Africa, Bangladesh
The fixture here to be on the lookout for is certainly the one between The Proteas and The Brits. This match will be played in Mumbai on 18th March.
Group 2: India, Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, Afghanistan
Group 2 is definitely a lot more interesting and is unarguably the group of death, seeing that India, Pakistan and Australia along with New Zealand will battle it out. The much sought after match between India and Pakistan will be played in Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala on the 19th, tickets for which will be gobbled up in a jiffy. The one between Australia and India too will be exciting, with revenge definitely on the cards. This match will be the last one of the Group, and will take place on 30th in Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali.
Make sure to book your ICC WT20 tickets as soon as the ICC releases them because the HPCA Ground is a small stadium and doesn’t accommodate too many fans.
